Apple CarPlay issues

Having trouble seeing any Siri suggestions in the CarPlay ? I’ve got a meross garage door opener which works on HomeKit so I can open and close the garage door using HomeKit on my iPhone but it’s not displaying in the CarPlay? I’ve bought a HomePod mini which acts as a hub which connects to my Wi_Fi but I’ve noticed the CarPlay will turn off my phones Wi_Fi and connect the CarPlays own Wi_Fi when the car is started im only wanting to open and close my garage door using the CarPlay thanks gary
