Corroded rear axle 2001 verso. Will standard Yaris rear axle fit?

My Dad's trusty old yaris verso (190,000 miles going strong)! has suffered  an irreparable fracture to the rear axle. These versos are proving tricky to find as breakers for spares. Does anyone know if the rear beam from a standard yaris of same era will fit. As I understand they share the same platform. Any advice appreciated.

There are plenty of verso's being broken, the verso has its own rear axle

Do a search on eBay for "Yaris Verso breaking"

it may be more cost affective to scrap the car and find another if you're not doing the work yourself

Can you confirm that a regular 2001 Yaris Rear Axel can not substitute for 2001 Yaris Verso Rear Axel. Even if both are for same year, same engine size, same abs + drums. Thank you. You seem to know what you are talking about, I just don't want to have to buy a Yaris Verso axel if a regular Yaris will do. Thanks in advance.

As far as I'm aware, the rear beam is specific to the Yaris Verso

unless you can get the axles side by side and measure them, watch out for the cheap Chinese beams they are utter tat
