Does anyone know if Toyota can check the condition of the timing chain on my 2016 WWT270R with 150,000 miles using daily as taxi. Many thanks

You can safely say that with 150K on the clock it will be worn, but doubt that anybody will say it's good for XYZ miles as it is difficult to tell how worn it is. What is the service history like? Lack of oil changes, or incorrect oil type (the BMW engine has it's own grade and people often put cheaper in) are the killer for timing chains. Do you have a problem with it?

Have owned the car from 6 months old with 5000 miles. It has been serviced since every 8000 miles with Toyota parts and the correct 1WW2WW oil for that BMW engine ( but not done by main dealer). It’s not giving any bother but as it’s my source of income I like to look after it and would rather be proactive, but I hear it’s engine out and major job with the chain now being at the flywheel end of the engine.

It is a major job, that's why i was asking about the oil, the chain is the weak point on that engine, although I have only ever seen one let go so to speak, oil changes and correct oil are crucial. Nobody is going to give you a definitive answer I suspect
