Hi boys and girls, I hoped I could pick your mind about a P0420 code, that caused a check engine light. I'll be adding photos of the freeze frame data, and in well at least my unknowledge eyes things are generally pointing towards the A/F sensor or the B1S1 as they call it. Im not gunna run out and swap the sensor straight out, could a possible vacuum leak also cause this error? Hope the freeze frame data gives someone a bit of idea, what could mby be going on, and Ill check it out a bit better later on with a good flash light for bad wires... Car has ~250k km.

Does the car lack power ? A vacuum leak will lean out the engine, making the ecu over fuel, and the data it doesn't show that

A slow sensor, poor fuel or the cat needs replacing

If you're going to replace B1S1, use a Denso sensor - cheap sensors do not last

I found a thread on a different forum, where they talked about all this, and I think I might be wrong thinking its the B1S1-which I think is the fuel ratio one. Apparently the code can be set by the actual o2 sensor which I imagine than is b1s2.

U know its hard too tell, but maybe.. It has this weird start from first gear(same in reverse), as if I press gas, while releasing the clutch its as if I need too over press the gas, more than I should, for it too not stall out and shut off. And honestly yes, I think the "power" I feel only sorta builds up at ~3k++ rpm(Thou this is going from memory, Ill have a better look/feel tomorrow), and I dont really have any experience with a simillar kw/size car :D, no clue how fast it should go 😄

I think I should also mention this isnt my car :D, but a friends one, but thats why I sorta suspected a vacuum leak, because of that weird stalling out on low rpm at set off
