Hi all, I have a 2008 toyota auris d4d sr and have been offered a stage 2 remap. So my question is has anyone else had this done? I have been told that I don't need to make any other modifications for this map so just want to be sure before I commit. Thanks

Generally for stage 2 you will have to do some hardware upgrades such as exhaust, intercooler, air intake, etc.  Be really careful trying to squeeze power from stock engine parts.  Make sure a professional is doing the tuning for you.

Even with a stage 1 I’d recommend a health check on your clutch / flywheel as the extra torque could see the end of it. Who is offering the upgrade? Alarm bells are ringing to be honest with you saying remap as the ECU isn’t reprogrammable as such it would be a case of a piggyback chip… I’d be asking a lot more questions before doing anything.

Mrzardoz, thanks but got a few more tuners who seem to know more about the car and have suggested just the map as stage 2 would require a lot more upgrades so not worth it. Thanks for the advice guys
