Although following all the recommended driving methods for my first EV my 6 month old corolla GR sport has failed to start for the fourth time in the last 2 months due to a flat Battery.

What am I doing wrong.

What type of journeys are you doing - ie short, long, etc?? Is the car being left for periods unused?

If doing just short journeys (3 or 4 miles, etc), the 12v Battery is being charged enough. Possibly needs more usage.

Hi,
Toyota hybrids are slightly different from other non hybrid and non electric cars which has bigger starter batteries. The small 12v Battery in Toyota hybrids can easily deplete if the car has not been in regular use or only used for a short town trips less than 20min long. There are also numerous reasons why the Battery can go flat prematurely, like keeping the car unlocked, walking around the car with your key in the pocket, regular leave any accessories on or keeping the car in acc mode instead of ready mode. I can highly recommend to recharge the Battery with trickle charger on regular basis and you will likely have no further issues. Recommend chargers for this job are ctek5 and anything similar really. There is currently an offer for trickle charger from Aldi online shop for only £13 , I just had ordered one for myself. https://www.aldi.co.uk/auto-xs-car-battery-charger/p/813260585046300
I don’t need but just in case at that price how not to. 👌🔋🔌

Check the settings of the Dashcam or take it to the dealer to check cos it’s prob driving the Battery in parking mode

prob a simple fix of changing menu settings so parking mode doesn’t draw constant energy from the battery
