That would be great but I have another problem my microphone has been removed from the roof headlight( beside SOS switch) I want to bypass wires there to simulate microphone , or connect other non toyota microphone to it.

Please if you have an idea let me knowScreenshot_20220105_204439_com.android.gallery3d.thumb.jpg.7e106288803ac750a1be91edc5eff387.jpg

I have a problem telematics DCM with my toyota corolla 2020 LE made in USA.

Which is Iam outside USA using this car for 5 months. recently the problem appeared which is when i start the car i hear sound says "Communication module activation failed please make sure you are in area with good Cellular coverage and try again, if you continue hear this message plz contact the dealer".

Regarding LED indicator lights beside the SOS after some flickering Red will remain continously.

I don't know if related or not Previously Headunit Entune Wifi hotspot was not working but was trying to connect but now it says you need active subscription when i press the hotspot.
So is there any relation that it might be some kind of subscription that has been ended thats why even DCM is not connecting anymore?

Also RSA feature "Road sign assistant" has not worked since i purchased the car!.

Fo your knowledge, The DCM and SOS feature is not working outside USA and I dont want to connect it to data center just want to deactivate it without right front speaker being lost! Or make other problems to the car.

i have tried pulling out the 7.5A myday fuse but it bcz of the speaker lose cant be done. Also dont want to open DCM module and rewire it.

please anyone has knowledge how to deal with it from to fix it outside USA.

there is no authorized dealer here to visit them.

Can any one please help me to stop the voice of "Communication module activation failed please make sure you are in area with good Cellular coverage and try again, if you continue hear this message plz contact the dealer" in my Corolla car.

Yes but we have tested in another vehicle

18 & 34
19 & 35

Bypassed , alongside other two basic pins which were already bypassed in the first step.

Please have a look at the diagram.

Any other idea?

Plz look at this one too,

I think the above one pin numbers not true may be this one right one?

They are in different locations if you look at 18 ,19 ,34,35!

I just checked the full wiring diagram

The mic is powered, on pin 33 that requires 4-6v

check the voltage on F133, pin 5, it should be 4.5-5.5v (ignition on) - if so link it to F134 pin 33

it's not required, it's the main mic that you need

This might be a silly question, but I'm in uncharted waters here. When jumping pins in F134 for Mic and Speaker, I understand that the connector is left unplugged from the DCM.

If I need to run power from F133-5 to the Mic power supply at F134-33, do I also leave F133 unplugged from the DCM?

What about the other connectors (A, B, C)? Plugged or unplugged?

Thanks! James

Hi Farnan

I havent yet got round to unplugging and bypassing the Telematics unit, and jumping power for the mic, are you able to elaborate on the problem with the Smart Key? I have disabled the Telematics unit before by pulling the fuse, and don't think it affected the Smart Key system? ---Although I couldnt swear to it, as soon as I noticed the mic problem, which I anticipated, I reconnected the unit.

Cheers,

James
