I am not sure about modern cars but in the past if you drained or lost a lot of coolant it was difficult to get all of the air out of the system.  To try a prevent any air pockets it was common to run the engine with the radiator or coolant cap of until the engine came up to temperature topping up the coolant when required.  If there is air left in the system then the engine will continue to spit out coolant.

Above the minimum would appear good to me, most of the cars I have had keeping the coolant at the max level was never possible for long periods.

Having been around engines for a lifetime, I rather thing you should consider an internal cylinder head blowing, or cylinder gasket.

I think that you’re throwing money at a perceived problem that has yet to be diagnosed properly. A lot of cars run quite happily at the minimum level of coolant. Are you 100% certain that you have a problem??. I would be thinking along the same lines as Hornet3D
