CHR cutting out whilst driving

Anyone had any problems with their CHR cutting out whilst driving ?

I was turning right at a very busy traffic / junction , braked because someone one pulled in front of me . Car stopped, wheel lock and screen totally grey . Could not restart , very , very scary as I was blocking junction. Luckily a mechanic arrived , got in and restarted it . He said he didn’t know what the problem was , but it needed to reset itself .

Taken to garage , could not find any fault .

Totally taken the shine off my car , not 2 years old , bought from new .

Now concerned it will happen again .

interested to know if any similar experiences from CHR owners .

So was this a Toyota dealer or somewhere else?

What engine, transmission?

Probably 1.8 or 2.0 hybrid, as the 1.2T was dropped at the end of 2019.

Which screen went grey? If it’s centre display, did it give a “Brake” warning?

The original poster has not been on the forum since she did the original post on Tuesday.  She said she was concerned that her CHR may cut out in traffic. Hmmm!
