Is it OK to unscrew this ?

A few months ago I snapped a clip for the a pillar and think it fell down the hole you see at the top of the photo on the right.

It could be causing a rattle so want to try and remove it.  Is it OK to unscrew the one circled in blue to see if it fell down there ?

Obviously I'll screw it back in again after.

Thanks

That is the side airbag tether, it torqued to a certain spec if you snapped the clip in the hole it would have dropped down the inside of the A pillar  to the floor - your rattle is likely to be under the dash or behind the kick panel

OK best not to mess with it then? I thought it could be wedged behind the screw in blue.

Yeah well the rattle existed even before I snapped the clip.

Take the a pillar off, mess around with it, put it back on and the rattle stops for a while then continues. It's a one off sort of snapping/popping sound rather than rattle. When i go over small bumps.

Is it an easy job to take the top dashboard off to see underneath?

As Flash22 has already confirmed, fixing is AB tether and is torque controlled.
Would imagine the clip in question could have fallen down to lower A post area, however, if it’s not causing any issues with rattles etc, I’d leave it.
