Boot light

Hi all I’m ray pleased to meet you. 
mum looking for some advice I have a 2014 Toyota auris and need to replace the light in the boot but can’t get the unit out any advice please as I don’t want to brake it.

You need some plastic clip removal tool, not to break/damage the interior or the light itself. It will be hard to get out, just go slowly.

You should consider changing the bulb for a LED one, shines much brighter.

As well as the posts above, here is the view from the rear of the boot light.

The left of the picture is closer to the rear seats.

The plastic barbs that hold the light in place are shown with blue arrows in the second photograph.  The plastic clip that you are needing to deflect with your trim tool is shown with the red circle - it needs moving in the direction of the red arrow. 

The trim tool needs to pressed in behind the light's flange, which unfortunately means that the tang you are pressing against is invisible when the light is fitted.  There is no 'feedback' from the clip when it is being pressed. 

In the picture, there is a reflection of the securing clip in the shiny black plastic rear of the light, ignore this.
