Jihad has many meanings.. in different context.. from defending your family against opression to fighting between the believers and non believers of Islam...

I said the same thing to Fizz, i couldn't believe DVLA would issue it but looking at it now i didn't realise the numbers were 77 instead of 1 so i can see how it slipped through

The original and intended meaning of 'Holy War' is in the spiritual plane, not the real world. This meaning has been corrupted to the point that Jihad is now thought of as Terrorism.

In it's true context, having JIHAD on a number plate is really no different to a Christian having the fish symbol on the back of their car. BUT, in these post 9-11 times I can see why the plate may well be controversial.
