2013 Avensis T27 Engine Swap

So, I've had some head gasket problems for some time with my D4D T27 2.0l diesel 1AD-FTV engine with black rocker cover.

I need to do an engine swap and have found a nice low mileage example that is complete.  It is from a 2015 RAV4 however.

Can anyone confirm that the engine block is the same and no issue with an engine swap?  It certainly looks the same, 1AD-FTV like mine (with black rocker cover).

ouick question kina interested its a 2013 and how many miles on it by chance .those should drive forever by chance could the head not be fixed on it bud .those engine swaps sometimes if u get them at a good price is nearly as handy than fixing a head gasket

The engine has done 180k miles and a bit tired.  Its never been right from day one.

In this instance its actually cheaper for me to engine swop.
