Help! Faulty seatbelt alarm.

Recommended Posts

Hi, my seatbelt alarm flashes red all the time, even when the front seat belts are being used.  The beeping sound begins softly but then gets louder before stopping, even though the light still flashes.  I’ve tried the suggestion on YouTube re holding the odometer button but I don’t get a b-on  (buzzer on) b-off (buzzer off) option.  My Aygo is a 2013 (63) reg.  I have the passenger airbag turned off as I have a child car seat on it. Does anyone have any other ideas which may help before I have to take it to a mechanic, which I expect would be expensive?
