Auris MK2 Hybrid brake discs and pads part numbers

Looks like my 2016 (mk2, face lift) Auris Excel hybrid hatchback needs new brakes. It has 17'' wheels if it matters.
Can someone help with the correct part numbers for the front and rear discs and pads.
I tried a few suppliers (2 Toyota garages on eBay and 3rd parties) and got different part numbers, for the same items. When looking on the web, part numbers given are for the different size discs. Local dealer was only interested to sell the parts, not to give the part numbers.
Can share the car reg, if it is needed for the parts lookup.

Hi, there might be two different type brake systems, Bosch or Advics (Akebono), I think your one should have the larger brake discs 290mm front, rears ones might be 3 different types, not sure exactly which one will fix.  Good brake pads are EBC Ultimax I can recommend to you and discs whatever you like, I use currently Blueprint and they seems a good quality.

Thank you Tony.
I will measure the discs and try to send an e-mail to Toyota technical support.

What a minefield.
I measured the disk brakes size and front are 290 mm, and rear are about 270 mm (did not take the wheels off).
And then I got two replies regarding the correct part numbers from two different Toyota vendors: both confirmed that the front disc is 290 mm and provided the same part numbers. However, they disagreed on the rear brakes and pads: one provided a part number for the 270 mm disc and another for 260 mm disc. So, I called the Toyota dealer I bought the car from a few years back and their service department was kind enough to explain to me that Auris has different brake disc sizes depending on the engine and wheel size. I also sent a message to Toyota tech support for confirmation, but not got the reply yet. Anyway, below is the table that lists part numbers specific to Auris Excel Hybrid MK2, with alternative Toyota part number (same part, but for the different model)
https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/ is the good place to find alternative part numbers, but you need to know the original part number. It is also worth checking the prices for alternatives, as I found out that the same Toyota pads (different pn) prices ranged from £37 to £75

If you can take a picture of the rear discs even with the wheels on the car I can still help you eventually. I went through all that drama back in 2016 , it took me three times going up and down to the car parts shop to get the right Discs and pads. Rear discs can be like on Prius 259mm or 270mm. Here you can look the difference from the pictures, these pictures are actual.
Prius type: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pair-of-Rear-Brake-Disc-Fits-Toyota-Corolla-Altis-Matrix-Pr-Blue-Print-ADT343277-/173768376092?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m2548.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0

Auris type https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-Brake-Discs-Pair-Solid-Rear-270mm-ADT343266-Blue-Print-Set-42431YZZAE-Quality-/234370907993?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m2548.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0

Once you determine which discs fit rear axle you can then find the pads too. 👍

Thank you for your help so far Tony
Picture of the rear disk brake, to me it looks like the Auris type you posted, it has the grove around the centre hub

Indeed, your brake discs are these 42431-02170 Auris type 270mm, https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-Brake-Discs-Pair-Solid-Rear-270mm-ADT343266-Blue-Print-Set-42431YZZAE-Quality-/234370907993?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&_trksid=p2349624.m2548.l6249&mkrid=710-127635-2958-0

Thank you very much Tony. Hopefully one day, Toyota will release an easy to use and reliable parts system. Toyota already have parts shop on Amazon, but finding correct part is not easy.

You are welcome. I had been using that website since many years ago, someone has shared it here on the forum and I am hooked ever since. Works great for me, latest cars not included though 2019-> but for previous models it’s ok. If you are doing the brakes by yourself here it is a very handy brake cleaner and it’s best of all. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Holts-1831697-Brake-Cleaner/dp/B0025KOQYY/ref=sr_1_10?crid=1LXDDKYF6GOYE&keywords=Hots%2Bbrake%2Bcleaner&qid=1648032953&sprefix=hots%2Bbrake%2Bcleane%2Caps%2C143&sr=8-10&th=1
Small soft wire brushes to perfectly clean all metal surfaces from rust, hubs, callipers, and avoid using any lubricant, dry fit everything and only use silicone grease on the slider pins, not much just a bit and make sure it goes deep inside the slider tube and a bit into the rubber boot to prevent any moisture and water ingress. That’s pretty much all. 👍

Tony, can you recommend the silicone grease for the pins please.

This one is good and enough for occasional jobs, can use as dielectric insulator against moisture too. Silicone Grease Tube 70G https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07JP4RV7J/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_SV3TNWGF39FMXXTS7YG0

I bought from Amazon, they seems to have good prices and also next day delivery for me as prime member. Amazon btw sells car parts and sometimes at best prices but you will need to have the oem numbers. 👌
