New Corolla GR Sport H/B Bi-tone-black paint or wrap ?

Hi just wanted to ask whether the 2022 Corolla GR Sport H/B Bi-tone has a black painted roof  or is it a wrap ?

I remember seeing this review when the corolla came out, so pretty sure it's a wrap. Check at the 1:40 minute mark

Hi George, Many thanks for that, I've just picked my Corolla GR sport up and I'm pretty sure the black roof is a wrap as highlighted in your video. Ask a Toyota salesman and they'll tell you it's painted. Thanks, Tony.

It is painted, the car gets fully painted in the base colour first then the upper bi-tone paint colour is added over the top, this is why bi-tone cars have a unique paint code that doesn't match either individual colour, for example a:

Scarlet flare Corolla has one paint code of 3U5

A bi-tone Scarlet flare has code of 2SZ, 2SZ then cross refers to two codes 3U5 Scarlet flare and 209 Black mica

It's black paint over the original paint of the car, that's why it's thicker and portray as a wrap.
