Toyota Auris MK1 glove box mechanism issue and how to fix it

Hi everyone, 

the glove box smooth opening mechanism gave away last night and I found the problem and a solution. The shock absorber attachment pins breaks down and the shock can not securely stay in place and the glove box drops down fast and ugly., since  it’s a luxury car I can’t be using it that way 🤣🚗. Happened before and I had fixed with a super glue, it was only the pin on the box itself, pictures below. This time was the other side, the one located inside the dashboard. Here the results in pictures. If anyone has the same issue can look at my pictures and cut the same way and fix it. Cut to measure, glue in place and secure with a small bolt, leave at least 12 hrs and then attach the shock. You can close the box without shock though and use it like that until the glue straighten out.
