2021 RAV4 wipers

Does anyone have the same observation I have with my new RAV4, where the wipers are not defrosting fast enough during winter time where windshields  and wipers are covered with  ice? My analysis is that maybe  the wipers are situated too low that whenever you are heating up your windshied it doesnt reach the wipers?

A bit of a gimmick in my opinion.

When I ordered the car I thought it had a heated windscreen and heated wipers.

Turned out to be neither, my fault I know, but very disappointed.

First vehicle without a heated windscreen I've had for 20 years.

Agree it's disappointing but the PHEV does make a reasonable job of defrosting the front window if you use the preconditioning system. Fully covered in snow and frost can be effectively cleared.  As owners of the PHEV know using the defrost on the move will fire the ICE rather leave it in EV mode but via the MyT app with or without tether the front and rear defrost works.  I think the system has a ceramic heating element built into the cabin that allows warm air to be blown over the screen rather than a electrical screen mesh.

Not much help to HEV owners unless a similar system is available once the car is started??
