Can anyone clarify if you can lock a new Corolla Hybrid (2022) without the alarm?  When taking the car on a ferry, some operators require alarms to be disabled.

TIA

Hi, you can lock the car with the built in physical key into your key fob., it’s like old school locking a car by tuning the key. Also once every few months is a good idea to spray some lubricant like wd-40 into drivers door lock , lock and unlock few times just to keep it lubricated and operational, otherwise these get blocked and when an emergency you won’t be able to unlock the car with this small key. 👍

That only turns off the interior sensors, not the alarm which is use on a ferry.

Never thought of that Tony 👏👏. I have several padlocks 🔐 exposed to the weather and every winter I steep them in lubricating oil otherwise they rust up and I used to end up busting them and replacing them, so I eventually learned the hard way. Same applies to the car door lock, and WD40 would do the job.
