Hi, just wondering if this is a common problem/characteristic of the car or something to worry about. I'm noticing that either at higher speeds or when or when it's cold there's there's whistle coming from the engine. It sounds almost like as if there's wind coming through a small gap which I thought it's what it was at first... through a vent or something but I've ruled that out by closing vents and the sound goes when I depress the clutch. Wondering of it's just normal turbo noise or something? Thanks

As you mention turbo, presume it is a diesel. Which engine - 1.4, 2.0 or 2.2??

No... no diesel. Its a 1.4 petrol. Tbh not 100 percent sure if its got a turbo tbh... I'm not too clued up with cars. Just driven it... noise became audible approaching 40... hear it more on hills and it makes a similar noise at higher revs in 3rd even when decelerating.

Hmmm... gearbox, split hose. Could be a number things from what I've read. It'll have to go to a mechanic.
