Adding auto folding mirror and heated seats

Hello, first of all I hope you guys are good. Second: sry for my bad english

I have a Yaris 3rd gen 2017, Active Hybrid, and I see that I have the wiring for the heated seats, but obviously I haven't the switch. The code of the item is 84751-0D040 or also 15B088 from RAV4: https://www.totalparts.nl/eng/car-part/J30000US7X/15b088+seat-heater-switch+toyota+rav4-a3-terreinwagen-2-2-d-cat-16v-4x4-2ad-fhv-euro-4+2006-2007-2008-2009-2010-2011-2012-2013

If I buy the item and install the fuse, will the heating seats work? I don't think so, but I have already installed the Cruise Control and auto beam with the existing light sensor, so.....hope it works!

Also with the electronic folding mirror, if I install this switch: https://www.totalparts.nl/eng/car-part/J30000USDH/183779+switch-power-mirrors+toyota+yaris-iii-p13-hatchback-1-5-16v-hybrid-1nz-fxe+2015-2016-2017-2018-2019-2020 with the mirrors 87940-0DB50 and 87910-0DB40...will they work? Is the internal cable ready? I'm from Italy...anyone has tried this?

Thanks!

Heated seats - if you have the wiring you will need the seat elements, switches, relays and fuses (seat heater switch 84751-0D050 superseded by 84751-0D051)

Mirrors, i doubt you will have the wiring -  remove the mirror switch and take a pic of the connector - its fairly easy to wire 2 wire to each mirror and 2 wires from the ecu back to the switch

I can look up the parts shortly - 2017 is that facelift or second facelift (lights built into the tailgate)

Heated seats: I have the wiring, but obviously no seat elements...the switch and fuse are simply to install, but the seat elements....mmm....I think I'll buy a couple of removable heated cover, installing the heated coil will be difficult imho.

Mirrors: IDK if I have the wiring, I have to disassemble the door and I will post a picture. I found two mirrors and the internal switch at 250€.

The car is the one in pictures uploaded, with VIN VNKKD3D3X0A378055, and I have a friend with the same car, but Trend line with auto folding mirrors and VIN VNKKD3D330A357693

Your car NHP130L-CHXNBW - N is a mid spec car

Friends. NHP130L-CHXGBW - G is a top spec car

Your mirror switch is the standard one no wiring for the folding mirrors - there are 2 types of folding mirror switches a 16 pin plug with 11 pins on the bottom row (folding but not auto) and the 3 row 28 pin (Auto folding when locking/unlocking the car)

Yeah, I got the point...can I install the auto folding with the correct switch (mod. 183779), the two auto folding mirrors (mods. 87910-0DB40 R, 87940-0DB50 L) and cable? The fuse is the last easy thing...I need the cable, right?

The seat belt also uses a 5 pin connector

Uhm...so I have to buy the seat heater switch and install the fuse and I will have the seats on fire...no? 😆

My mistake, i was reading the wrong diagram

the large plug is for the heated seats, it looks like there is a sub harness that you don't have

Yeah, this is the seat heater switcher, and seems it fits:

No problems, I'll buy 2 seats cover with heating function for next winter period.

Now the mission is to install the auto folding mirrors, and the only thing that is missing is the internal cable...the auto folding mirror is an update that I really need, this is an used car and I cannot decide various update...infact I already installed dark rear windows, cruise control and auto lights

Where can I buy or find the correct internal cable for the auto folding mirrors?

Is that large connector under the passenger seat ? If so, that is for the amplifier - that would explain why the connector didn't look right

sorry, I'm an idiot - it must be the strange weather here in the UK

It is indeed for the amplifier

Edit. just to complicate things, KF1 in the passenger side footwell (LHD) does both the wiring for the amplifier and the heated seats can you take a pic

Yes!

I can say this: I have the cable in the centre console (the blue one), but I haven't the other cable/elements...I read that in EU, Toyota didn't ever offer heated seats as optional...it's not impossible install the elements, but difficult for sure

different models have different body looms, heated seats are part of the main body loom, see my edit above

Tomorrow I hope to take a photo of the passenger footwell, also I can try to measure positive and negative if they are connected...but I think I don't have nothing more than the simple cable console 😞 so I need some elements that only Canadian version have

Europe has the heated seats as part of a cold pack, so no problems there, as there are only a few wires it's simpler to run the wires what you need, same with the door mirror it's 2 wires per door get a cheap Yaris or Auris door loom and use the terminals and wire from that extend the wires as needed

The 2017 and 2018 Yaris brochure doesn't have the heated seats, at least in Italy (maybe in Germany or UK is possible to have the optional)

I really want these optionals, need the various elements from items code

The elements are expensive from Toyota, there is no cold pack on the UK Yaris

No cold pack also in Italy, I’m studying the wires needed for seats heater and auto mirror. Well, now I have to check what wire I have inside my car.

I know that the elements are expensive in Toyota, in fact I’m gonna buy things on various junkyard online store. I have found the auto mirror switch (code 183779), the seat heater switch (code 15B088)m the two auto side mirrors (left 87940-0DB50, right 87910-0DB40) and the fuses, about 250€ (I’ll buy them when I am sure of the success of the job).

For mirrors: I think I need a lot of cables and clip assembly

For seats: I need the assembly for heater, thermostat and cushion

Next days I’ll search the inside of the car, so I get an idea.

Btw @flash22 thanks, you know a lot

Big question: where can I find the cables that I need?

If the wiring is not there you will have to make some to suit

seat heater. 87510-0D052 (bottom) and 87530-0D010 (back)

seat heater switch. 84751-0D050 superseded by 84751-0D051 (15B088 is just a manufacture's code)

Mirrors, folding and non folding mirrors use the same plugs just 2 extra terminals for the folding part

Mirrors are the correct part numbers

84870-0D0151 (183779 is the manufacture's part number) for the mirror switch this is the 28 pin auto folding type, so you will need the plug to suit - 90980-12330 (no terminals) i have a supplier for the terminals in Japan or you can cut one out of a late Toyota with wires from a scrapyard

If you are going with the 28 pin mirror switch - you can use the illuminated mirror switch from an Auris 84870-02101

28 pin mirror switch pinout

I looked at doing this when we bought the car last year so I bought a switch which was the same connector as the switch we removed, it is neither of the ones you have described but as there was no cabling associated to the extra terminals it became an abandoned project. I want to replace this with the illuminated version you mentioned previously though, that is a mod I can do 🙂

The socket is deceptive it can have 7 or 9 pins there is also a 16 pin variant of these switches, They do not have the fold/retract on lock/unlock - The Auto fold yaris 28 pin switch is not illuminated, the Auris one i listed above is

2053016963_iqmirrorswfolding.thumb.jpg.e3669efa6e9649894c4c617930d91c82.jpg

if you want folding mirrors, you have to run the 2 wires from the mirrors to the switch and change the mirrors if you don't have them
