My Mates Bike After Being Hit By An Mr2

My mate Kal was hit at 70mph by an out of control MR2 tubby which sent him

20 ft in the air and destroyed his bike.

The mr2 clipped his back wheel which bumped the bike into the air.

When it landed he recovered it but the fuel cut was activated and the bike stalled.

The mr2 by this point had completly lost control and spun,

and then clipped him again.

He could do nothing to save it so he jumped away from the bike

( i guess this is why he got off so lightly)

before it hit the central reservation followed closely by the mr2 which also hit the central reservation. both the car and the bike are write offs

He was lucky to walk away with a few bruises and a broken collar bone.

not good !!... at least he's sorta ok.

Those pesky tubby drivers !!!... lol

another good point.. at least he still has his MR2 to drive about in. Might look a bit daft sitting in his leathers in it tho.

He's not even got them anymore cos they had to cut him out of them :(

The guy driving the tubby was charged on the spot with dangerous driving and his car was a write off. no pics unfortunatly

A guy coming in the opposite direction said he passed him in the air so fast it was like he was in a car... scary stuff, I couldnt believe he was standing telling me the story when i saw the bike.

The pics dont do justice to the amout of damage done.

Moral of the story... Look for bikes before you pull out to pass.

I take reports of Motor Insurance claims as my Job and bikes are always in bad accidents. I took a report of a really bad claim today, the insured I was speaking to was lucky to be alive!

I dont think he realises how lucky he was.

He's more bothered about when when the insurance will pay out so he can get another bike.

I dont think some bikers realise how dangerous bikes can be.

9/10 car drivers probably dont look for a bike when they pull out of

junctions or the like so they really need to concentrate hard.

I love bikes but i would never have one
