toyota yaris hybrid 2020 3rd version, squeaking sound on brake pedal to start up car.

When you push on brake pedal to start up car then coming up this squeaking sound, feels like some oil not there ! Yaris hybrid 2020 automatic.  squeaking sound not coming actually from pedal,but from system - deeper .  i found online this - Prius hybrids may squeak when brake pedal is applied, released. Toyota reports that 2004-07 Prius hybrid models may produce a squeaking sound whenever the brake pedal is applied or released. According to the car maker, the noise is most obvious when the key is in the ready mode and the vehicle not moving.  anyone have same issue ? this not happening all the time,but almost always when cold engine.

Hi, can you record the sound by any chance? It can be normal and nothing to worry about. The brake system on these cars is electronic and there is a pump that does it’s job and can produce strange noises at the time, sometimes more noticeable than others. Does it make  the sound while pressing the pedal or while the pedal has been depressed?

Noise is for some 1 sek only ,when pressing to start up engine. i am tried to record many times,but when recorded then nothing,when not recording then sound coming,this is fun. will try another times to record . and im sure on this car its not electronic brakes ,its mechanical.

Most normal cars will use the engine to generate vacuum, vacuum is used with the brakes to boost the pressure from your foot on the pedal.

With the hybrids, there's a little 12v pump that runs instead to generate that vacuum, so the brakes will always work just as well, even when the engine isn't running. You could well be hearing the car generating that vacuum. You'll also notice it sometimes runs when you first unlock the car and open the door.
