Toyota ?.. What Do They Know ?

Ok.. a while back I went to Toyota with a funny idle problem. They had the car in anyway, so I asked them to have a look at it.

They came back saying it was the Head Gasket that had gone. I thot.. oh !Removed!.. lots of money to fix that.

I didn't do anything about it, but went to my good local garage last week... got the car back, no idle problem at all. What was the problem ? The BOV !! A little tweak of the preload nut thingy and it was fine !

Just think some loon could have paid loads to get a HG fixed !!

yeah... you wouldn't have noticed it as it didn't happen until the car was totally warmed up.. then still it was only now and again... but stalling is a pain when people laugh at you... lol

I never work a Thursday as only downstairs is open and it's a small bar. I'm a big bloke so I wouldn't fit behind it very well... lol.

I generally go out every thursday. going out this week too... working Fri/Sat.
