Hello everyone ,

I would like to ask about the rear seatbelts, is there a typical place to tie them? if they are left loose they hit the plastic and I cannot stand it.

Thanx in advance

On my iQ there are little slots in the rear pillar plastic that you push the metal buckles into, this stops the rattling. I would post a photo but I'm on holiday and car is at home.

Alternatively,  you could always put them into the fixing kn the seat base ie as if someone is using them though this only works if you leave the rear seats up.

I have found the best way to stop them making noise is to put in some extra seat belt studs that I got from eBay it make them sit higher and not bang.

The 'slot' to put them in was the original solution, however the slots were not always firm enough and they'd drop out themselves. So Toyota changed to the clunky plastic hook assembly shown in the post a couple above.

Our launch iQ had only the slots, but I argued for them to give us the hook solutions a couple of years later when it appeared on the basis that introducing that was admission of a fault in the original slot design.
