Is there a way from the VIN to confirm a model year for the Yaris?

Mine doesn't match either... in fact it has a 0 there which is apparently an illegal character in the VIN code according to Wikipedia

Wiki seems to suggest only US vehicles have the year encoded there

We're not looking for our VIN's, that part we already got!

The OP was trying to figure out if the VIN has the model year encoded into it

No where online will list cars under 2-3 years old apart from the manufacturer's portal, and that will only give the month and year - as for cars being build that's internal to Toyota and will not be in the 3rd party domain until the car is registered then it takes months

UK yaris will have a vin...................

VNKKBAC3#0A000000

# indicates that various characters may occupy that position

VNK - TMMF (Toyota France)

KBAC3# - KBA = Yaris Hybrid, C3# - Vehicle spec

0A000000 - unique serial of the car

North amerian Vins are a different format

fully specs can be found from the model ID

MXPH11-

Interesting decode.  My VIN is JTD but is supposedly a Yaris Cross built in France.  KBA then ties in with Yaris Hybrid.  The equivalent to C3# is BB5 then the unique car ID.

Ah JTD is also used for Czech production (TMMCZ) on some models, see my sig

I saw that where I looked but I think it said Aygo.

So it might have been made in Czech however the App shows the French factory and Zeebrugge routing.

Would it be possible that VIN batches could be passed to a different factory that has spare capacity?  Stopping AWD might have created gaps.
