Hello! My name is Phil and we are looking to replace our current astra hatchback with something more family oriented and city-friendly where the car will be used 90% of the time(so no diesels for us) 

Not having driven any hybrids before(just automatics), I test drove the corolla 1.8 hatch and I fell in love how easy it is to drive in town. I was amazed how frugal it was during the test drive, which was 50% Town, 50% motorway strech, ended up with 62.2 mpg, whilst adhering to speed limits(30mph and 70 on motorway). I think this will go up the more you drive in town. 

We've reserved a corolla Estate 1.8 excel(used with low miles) trim from our local dealer, hopefully we will drive home with it this Saturday, providing that the part-ex and finance will get sorted.

Indeed! Unfortunately the wife will use the car most of the time so I'll stick with the yamaha 😂

Sure she will! Any excuse to pop round to the local premier for something!
