Hi . I have a Previa 2.0D 2003 . I'm only getting 450 miles on a full tank . What should I be checking ?

So have you actually calculated the fuel consumption rather than giving just the range?? The mpg is a better indication of whether there is anything wrong.

The official figures obtained under the New European Driving Cycle were obtained from laboratory testing regime, and were never intended to provide owners with fuel consumption in real world scenarios. The NEDC was a standard test purely designed to provide a standard comparison between models.

As said previously quoting range is next to useless - you need to actually work out what fuel consumption the vehicle is providing (eg actual miles per gallon).

Might be normal if you're somewhere cold and are only using it for short journeys. Diesel mpg drops like a rock when they are cold.
