Yaris MK3 (2012) Low Fuel Warning Light

Hi, I own a Yaris MK3 (2012). The low fuel warning light will come on when the range will go less than 50miles but last time the light didn't come on. The range went to zero but still no light. The fuel gauge was very close to the R also but the low fuel warning light was off.

What can be the problem? Any troubleshooting that I can do myself? Disconnecting the Battery for 10 minutes and reconnecting and checking range again? Any sensor?

Is that the computer telling the display there's 50 or zero miles range? I wouldn't rely on that anyway or drive until R or a warning light!

I normally don't trust the computer range, but it was almost close to R and still no low fuel warning light. Which was very strange.

R is for Reserve, never drive until the gauge is showing R or the low fuel light comes on as it can damage the pump/clog the filter

there isnt much difference between R and the low light, parking on a slope can alter the fuel level
