Sorry I haven't been around for a while - I've had my mind on other things. My Mum has just spent the last month in hospital, now she's out (for while at least) life can get back to normal (ish). I've been off work for a few weeks as well with my knee playing up something chronic - severe oesteoarthritis and foreign bodies in the joint - been on a woiting list for 18 months just to see a consultant and have been told that it's at least another 18 months before I get to see him. So I'm off to the local Bupa hospital next week with credit card in hand to see the same consultant:arrgg-matey:. Welsh Health Service = Welsh WAITING Service.

Thats the NHS all over love! My mum was made to wait 9months to have a minor operation, but in the end it turned out to be a major one as they'd left it so long, and she passed away 3wks later as they had waited just too long..... :(

Rach - thanks for the comments. Sorry to hear about your Mum - just glad my Mum had some good treatment - shame I haven't had any

I have to apologise to all the Welsh lads - I was supposed to organise the meet but just haven't had much oppportunity - and it's the second time I missed out THIRD time lucky (or so they say :o )

Bupa is great, when my dad had to have a double heart bypass the NHS waiting list was 18months. Because my dads neighbour is top southwest heart surgeon, he managed to squeeze him in after 5months, and he went to a bupa hospital and treatment was paid by nhs

Dont forget, if you're free tomorrow, theres a mini welsh convoy to the southern meet :D
