These tend to blow if jumpstarted with the wrong polarity

Remove the Battery - unbolt the fuse box - remove the lower plastic of the fuse box - remove the 2 bolts/wires - insert the fuse put it all back together, Toyota upgraded the alternator fuse to 125 amp

pic of a blown link, new fuse (fusible link) goes in between the 2 bolts

don't rule out the Battery being shagged

the Toyota Fusible link is. 90982-08297

you may find them called a MIDI fuses, but the 120/125 can be a pain to get (not online)

Hi,

Can you pls. tell me how can I remove the cover on the fuse box to access the Alternator fuse? I have  electrical system failures in my Aygo KGB10 and the alternator will not charge the Battery so i suspect that the Alternator fuse has blown 😞

Also is there any means to check if the alternator fuse is blown by using a Multimeter? I was thinking of removing the Battery first and then put the Multimeter in Connectivity mode and then touch one probe to Alternator B+ and the other probe to Battery Positive wire connector and listen to Beep to verify if the fuse is blown or not?
