MK3 Petrol 2008-2009

Hello,

I'm interested in the possibility of a Mk3 Rav as a local runaround for a family of 4. Not too worried about economy as it won't be doing huge distance. I think I've been scared off the diesels due to the head gasket saga - although perhaps these issues will have been and gone by now?

Do the petrol versions have many big issues to look out for? I can't find a great deal of info out there, but presumably most were bought as diesels. Looking at around 100k mile, manual cars  for £4000-5000.

Any advice appreciated
