Unfortunately not, Touch 2 in a new Yaris Design will have Android auto but only wired via USB, you would have to order a new Yaris Excel with the Toyota Smart Connect head unit for wireless AA

There are very few system that support wireless AA, the Smart connect only support wireless CarPlay not AA

There are various aftermarket wireless AA adapters, Also be aware you only have 1 USB port

The hard wire usb cable is no real hindrance with Android Auto  in my case and the google maps gives very good direction.  It seems the days of a sat nav system being part of a vehicle's spec are long gone.  I've just ordered a C-HR in Excel trim which is one of only two models in the C-HR range that has a sat nav system as standard.  We will keep the Yaris as it's a brilliant small hybrid in it's own right.

I hate to disagree with Flash22, as he has extensive technical knowledge, but my Yaris Cross Dynamic (Nov 21) has a USB memory stick plugged in for music and Android 11 phone connected wirelessly, providing Android Auto services.

BUT it did take several attempts and restarts before it all worked.

Yours is the Cross, the OP is asking about the Yaris.  I’m under the impression the two systems are different.

Graham

I meant to include the fact that I have the Smart Connect system that is supplied on both cars, for clarity. I doubt that Toyota maintain separate versions of their Infotainment systems for each car.

You are correct that the Touch 2 and Smart Connect are different systems with differing capabilities.
