Got round to fitting them.  It’s quite a drawn out affair and I took quite a few photos so might do a tutorial for the how to section at some stage.   You’ll also note that I fitted sill guards.  The lowly steerage level Yaris has them but the 30k Cross is devoid of them.  They were about £77.  Front and rear mudflaps were only £15 a pair so worthwhile in my opinion.

Hello!

I'm looking to purchase toyota yaris cross side steps.

Can you please tell me where this have been purchased from?

The dealer I've purchased the car from, asked 900€ for the pair. (Germany)

Thanks!

They were from the Toyota dealer and if I remember rightly they were approximately £500.   They sell them on eBay but I don’t know what they’d charge to ship them, they are very heavy.

Thanks a lot for your reply!

Do you have an eBay link where I can find them?

Keep in mind there is a genuine parts supplier called Parts King on here that offers very good prices.  He might ship them if you ask him nicely.

Where are you, Germany or West Midlands?   If in U.K., he’ll definitely ship them, it’s what he does!

I live in Germany.

I've got a friend in West Midlands he can ship to.

I'll PM Parts-King in January.

I've seen a post saying they are in holiday.

By the way, you've done a great job fitting those side steps.

This is the car of a friend and side steps looks great.

He paid 1000€ to Toyota dealer 😳

I thought it was.  I think the colour palette team at Toyota U.K. have got monochromatic vision.   Black, white, grey or silver form the mainstay of their imagination.

Another little improvement was to swap the bulbs on the woefully inadequate interior lights.  Not my idea originally as the Techdoc site suggests the light unit can’t be separated but somebody on a Facebook page did it.  It’s made a big difference and being at the cool blue end actually compliments the blue dash and door lights. They’re gel led’s which I’ve not come across before.  They don’t seem to be polarised and fade very nicely.  The interior light is clipped in to the roof but I gave up on trying to prize it out for fear of damaging the headliner.  Use a broad trim tool to separate the inner black part from the outer grey part.  The switches will fall out but the near ones are the reading lights and the front left is the door switch.

I've struggled to replace this bulbs with led brighter once.

I will soon fit interior lights on the back.

I may post the result if anyone interested.

There’s a plate in the door frame.

Got mine from the dealer.  If you ask very nicely they might give yo some discount.  Don’t forget we’ve got Parts King on the forum.  He’ll post some out to your house.

So is the idea of these that they weigh  your car down, so you grip the road better? 🧥
