What Was Your 1st Car?

Just wondering how everyone came to arrive at Toyota.

Was the Toyota your first motor?

What was your very first motor?

Mine was my dads hand -me down Maestro. Only lasted 2 months. Some clown reversed into the road on a blind bend and bang went my front axle. And his passenger side doors.

Next was a run down escort. (for 1 year)

I traded up to a Fiesta 1.6 Sport '89 model. (3 years)

Then came my Celica 2.0 GTi 16v which I've had since March '97. s*x on four wheels.

I'm pretty sure we had this discussion a while back but can't be bothered to look for it :D

My first car was out in Hong Kong and was a..... Mk1 MR2 T-Bar (White with no mods)

Totalled that one and followed it with a mixture of MR2's, escort, Mitsubishi Sigma, Fiat 131 Super Mirafiori, Saab 93 Aero, Astra's, and now back to the 2....

Majority of non-mr2's were company cars or very cheap which is why they weren't MR2's :D :D :D

I have to admit I'm an MR2 nut and wouldn't want another car :D :D :D

lol thought that would get peoples attention. basically i was looking for a car was going to spend 2k on it, then a friend of mine told me he knew a good family guy selling a bmw, so i bought that...

let me tell you, 190bhp really gets you going & the size of the car was HUGE Imagine looking out the front at a bonnet that just keeps going - but the gear box went & i couldnt justify spending 1500 for repairs.

But still BMW....

My Sigma was huge, nice big Mitsi 3l v6, great on the motorway and cruising and could sit alarge family of II's on the back seat although never tried, maybe I could have earned a few extra bucks....

Nice to have a big beast at some point but BMW.....

UNfortunately not to many Sigma saloons around now :(

My first car was a very old mk1 escort but it was a lovely little car that kept having different things wrong with it and then boyfriend (now husband) who owns a garage made me look after it myself. At the time I hated doing this, cold mornings having to take the plugs out and warm them up on the gas stove or when it rained I'd have to spray the coil with WD40 to dry it out or thump the alternator when it stuck !!!! evenually it got to much and I sold it my husband still can't believe I got £75 for it he thought I'd have to pay someone to take it :D

My next car was a triumph dolimite that had a tank like feel and was VERY heavy on the steering. I had to have two engines put in as I kept blowing then up !!!

Then I had a Fiat panda lovely little car I was on the north cir doing too fast when a copper pulled me up he didn't ticket me as he couldn't believe the little car went so fast (over 100 bad of me I know )

Then my pride and joy my Citreon AX GT which my husband did up for me resprayed and put on a sports exhaust (too loud) which I'll now have to sell it

as I got my beautiful (nearly) new Yaris T sport the best car I've owned I love it. Fun to drive infact I took the long way home from work today just so I could drive it for longer (sad I know !!)

Kaz it's not sad taking the long way home at all, although I think my ocassional 2 hour detour's home are a bit excessive, mind you normally only do it when it's roof off weather....
