Why do we need front number plates (the USA dont have them and cars look better without them)

Why do the plates have to be so big (They're mahoosive)

Laws against undercar neons, strobes i can understand but undercar neons now come on who would mistake a car with neons with the old bill?!? <_<

what about the buses with neons on the inside!!! There are some near me that have purple neons on in them.

I'm feeling a pointless arguement brewing here and as no-one around here has a copy of the road traffic act....It's all gonna be 'CHAT'.....

Just remember Guys, the law isn't here to help people modify their cars how they want - there is a legit reason for most things enforced.

If we did away with front number plates the government would have to spend too much money turning all those speed cameras round otherwise their revenue (sorry safety figures) would fall.

Neons can be seen as a distraction.. imgine an old dude driving along and a 'bling bling' car drives past with bright purple neons.. he might get so excited, he would crash into the old lady crossing the road ahead.

your easily allowed 10% and speedo's on cars are no where near accurate...and even more inaccurate when it comes to reading them...even the size of you throws it out. i'm 6'3 and look down on my speedo...so it looks like I'm not going as fast as I really am, due to the angle of the dangle....

Interesting about the busses! as yes...any lights other than normal running gear that are visible...are illegal. ie under body neons...coloured water jets ( white is fine)...lights in ya valve caps.... coloured lights inside...wahey...sounds like a bus!!

Excelent point that...bring it up with ya local pigs....think your on to a winner.

Taxi's are the same...with a coloured light on the roof that is not part of normal running gear.

I always thought neons were in a bit of a grey area. I thought that as long as you couldn't see the actual tube (direct light) then it was OK.

Taxi's have law set aside; they are taxi's! not normal cars with strobes or neons etc...i couldnt care less personally, but its OTHER motorists that you have to bear in mind. I think sometimes people foget this...

There's an oldish Supra by mine. Black with tinted windows, Looks pretty cool until you see it at night, when he sticks his neons on - orange under the front bumper, green at the sides (one seems to be a longer tube than the other) and blue at the back. WHY?????!!!! And yet, it still didn't look very much like a police car.

Speed cameras (usually behind a tree or a sign) on massive stretches of wide road with no pedestrians for miles, with no recorded accidents, with hardly any traffic are the most annoying things ever.
