2006 Toyota Noah - Spare Wheel

Good day, I am in New Zealand and have just purchased a 2006 Toyota Noah which was imported into the country from Japan. The vehicle was given to me with 2 spare wheels which were in the rear of the vehicle. I have looked underneath the vehicle and can see the cage for the spare wheel but cannot see how to release the cage to place the spare wheel in the cage. Can anyone tell me how to release the cage? Lift the rear carpet you will find a hex head in the floor/tailgate opening, i would get under the car and give a good spray of penetration oil on the threads, nut/hook
