Yep, I use this on my second key which doesn’t get used. This key also has a motion sensor in it and so, as a security measure, stops transmitting when at rest.

I use it a lot.

The car is often not used for several days, so if I'm not expecting to go out I turn both fobs 'off'.

And if the car is left out (it's normally garaged) I'll also turn the active fob off to prevent relay attacks ... not that that's likely for a 4 yo Yaris in our neck of the woods.
