O2 sensor wiring

Hi 

aygo o2 sensor wires post cat has weird colours which can’t find anywhere and don’t match new one. Any ideas which are which please 

original sensor : grey , white, red and black 

new sensor: white , white, grey and black

O2 sensor on those have been superceeded several times, why do you need to know the colours?

Purchased a cheap universal sensor ? Instead of a direct fit one ?

Yeah, I was going to say that sounds like the cheap universal sensor, where the heater wires would be the pair of whites, usually. Never ever found out if those things actually work. Bought them a couple of times, but never fitted them. Instead, I got a cheap scrapyard sensor.
