Milk Float Noise From Engine

Seems as though once I've fixed one noise, another starts :kicking:

Any ideas why when accelerating I hear what sounds like a very quiet whining noise from the engine, almost like a milk float ? Doesn't do it idle, only does it when accelerating.
It's always made a similar noise when shifting down into first whilst the revs are high, but recently noticed it does it when driving around too

On a sidenote, I've never had the engine running with the hood up before, but was wondering whether it sounds as it should ? This is unrelated to the whining noise..

It's the milk bottles clanking together. 😀

sounds ok to me.  Our old 1.3 that we had from new always had an almost 'electric-motor' type of whine from the outset.

Fair enough 🙂 Maybe it's always been there then. Thanks

If I put the window down it sounds like a slight hissing sound ( when accelerating ) imagine a turbo charger hiss sort of sound but more mellow. Maybe it's the turbo charger 🤔 🤣
