Excessive smoking!!

As many people have mentioned with the T27 2.0 D4D excessive smoking when up to temperature.

Mine was smoking once a week which I had been trying to get to the bottom of. It’s now every single day 🤦

what I have noticed is if I unplug the air flow sensor the smoking stops but also if I unplug the egr it also stops. I have taken the egr off and cleaned it. I have also contact cleaned the air flow sensor but still no luck.

I have tan a diagnostics on the air flow sensor and it shows 4.5-5 grams at idle which I think is too high but no sure on parameters.

I had made a temporary blanking plate for the egr. Once up to temp it started smoking straight away which leads me to believe it’s not the egr at fault.

I have also tried blanking the fuel feed to the 5th injector which did not fix the issue.

has anyone ever got to the bottom of this issue? I have seen so many of the same issues but never a fix. I don’t want to start buying parts if it’s not going to fix it!

thanks guys

I have changed 5th injector, egr, 0xygen sensor, air flow sensor, turbo pressure sensor, air temperature sensor, presssure sensor of the DPF.

I've changed the wire from ECU to pressure sensor of DPF.

no smoke in hot weather, it smoked in cold weather, about 8°C.

but only in "normal" journey. If I have a small journey, like 5km, it will smoke a little when restarting the engine. Maybe the 5th is injecting, to warm up the DPF
