Well done for getting the progress that you have.

Let's hope you have the car back you wanted in the first place @j3nnyliz

If I was the dealer's lead, you'd be having a couple of services thrown in, let alone what you have asked for! The other person who'd be in for a chat is the person who handed the car over in that condition.

In forums people sometimes describe dealers by taking away the 'd' and replacing it with 'st'. Some moderators dont like it, but at times like this, you can see why.

Fingers crossed for you j3nnyliz.

Just out of a matter of interest, how many miles has it clocked up and was it an ex lease car

51000 miles ish. I haven’t been made aware if it was an ex lease car. But it wouldn’t surprise me!

I would class that above average mileage and with the condition you received it I would probably guess it to be a lease/firms car. But this does not escape the condition it has been presented as a saleable retail car and there should be no excuse from Steven Eagell. Someone definitely needs their rear bumper bunching around the forecourt😉

In saying all this I do hope you fulfil all your expectations and become to enjoy the car.

Im glad to hear you have made some progress, and I'm sure you'll grow to love you new car once everything has been addressed. The C-HR is a great car, both to drive, and to admire.

Car is back 🤗🙌🤞🏻
I have a new tyre, a passenger window that opens by the passengers controls, I have a new sun visor to replace the missing one and it has had a full valet. The exterior scratches are no more.
I am happy.
with the exception of one thing…. They appear to have kept a locking wheel nut.

now I feel like I have my new car.
thank you for the support and messaging.

Well done Jenny 👏👏. Hopefully you got the other stuff instead of a full tank of petrol, and demand your locking wheel nut back. Some careless person lost it and couldn’t be bothered to find it. And an apology to you wouldn’t go amiss either.

Well done you. I might have pushed them for two new tyres to pair them equally but otherwise you appear to be very happy with the outcome. I'm sure you will get your locking wheel nut back so now go and enjoy you car and travel well.

Hello Jenny, pleased for you that the dealer has gone some way to rectifying the faults.

Although if what they have lost is the adapter for the locking wheel nuts, I would say that this is critical.

I have known two people who suffered adapters lost by dealers/fast fit,one did get the fast fit to put it right after lengthy arguments and endless hassle and wasted time.

The other from a dealer, general not Toyota, finished up paying for a garage to drill out the locking nuts and replace them.

The other thing I think is critical,is the one key, have they supplied another one?

As I said in my other post,so many people with one key lose them or damage them accidentally or they just stop working, which then becomes a big problem that sometimes cannot be solved.

Fingers crossed for you that all will be well with your car, and it serves you well.🙂

I’m going to look a bit daft if it’s supposed to be a set of five! 😂

Unless you have a 5-wheeled car you're probably alright

There was a thread about this a while back, and I think we decided they just use the same box for all the sets of locking wheel nuts, and the mysterious 5th one was just for cars (Or rather 4x4s/SUVs) that had a spare wheel mounted on the outside on the tailgate, to stop that getting nicked!

The mud guards are on and look good. The window things are on back order apparently 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m sure they’ll let me know when they are delivered. Probably desperate to stop me hassling them! 🤭🤗💁🏻‍♀️

I think the set you have there is complete, pick-up the parts and check them, there should be 4 normal wheel nuts, the ones in the box are the non-locking ones which have been removed from the wheel. There should be one locking nut fitted to each wheel.

The 5th piece, in the middle, is the key which should fit the locking nuts on the wheels, you can check the pattern and that it fits.

No Jenny, you are not going mad.looks like the adapter is there, good.

And four locking nuts, although why the nuts are in the box and  not on the wheels, I dunno.

Sorry, not locking nuts, but what he said.

Jenny, I'm glad you got your C-HR sorted out. They are great cars. Hopefully you won't let the bad dealer experience put you off.

Enjoy your new car !!

Maybe the handover guy at the dealers should be employed as the new mudflaps,as long as he is willing to travel for work.
