New Phone

Well its my bday in roughly 8 days ( 14th) and i believe it is time for a new phone, 02, and preferably pay as u go, so i can jst wack my current sim card in it, what would u peeps suggest, got a few that i like but they seem 2 be on contract <_<

Samsung p510;. Its a flip phone but has a button on the side to make it auto flip open itself. Its well cool thing is it uses the Battery like a bugger lol

Not too sure on this, but I'm about to get my second Sony Ericsson K700i. The features are fantasic, but I think I got a duff one so they are going to change it FOC tomorrow. Even with the few niggles, it's the best phone I've ever had B)

PS:- I'm also with O2 and kept my old number

Nah im getting a new phone soon and sticking with my idiot proof nokias!!! They are bringing out a phone thats a bit special soon!!! Just got to be patient!!

i am a big fan of nokia, nice menus 2 use, want a camera phone, i do like Nokia 6600 but not to sure if u can get on pay as u go, only thing is its a bit chunky <_< decisions decisions ;)

I have a Samsung e700 flip phone, has good camera on it - well the pictures come up better on pc than on phone - has different resolutions. Only downside is the pictures wont upload to pc by infra red - has to be by cable, but otherwise very happy .

If you don't like samsungs, stick to noki - even my hubbie gets on with them and he hates gadgets!! :)

Yeah I was going to go for that too. Why not go for a contract or do you not think you could stick to the quota of free minutes??? I only pay £25 a month and at the moment thats all im paying! Has been a "little" more on the odd occasion though! But then you get a much better choice of handsets!

yea there r some good benifits of having a contract but im a student so tryin 2 keep cash hehe, id prob waste a load on the bill thing is with pay as u go i can limit myself

Sony Ericsson K700i, got mine for free dads mate owns a fone shop, great fone lots of features it has everything you could possibly want, a great camera and its really small too and light

Just watch a prog on channel 5 wher they dragged the phone through a field, BBQ'd it, socked it with a fire hose then blew it up in a car - it still worked fine! Indestructable!

I've just switched to O2 to get a Nokia 6230 - it's excellent. good camera, MP3 player etc etc, but I'm on contract, not sure of the prices for Pay as you Go.

chuck - if you do get a nokia or some other phones, get the cheapest you can find, not 02, some if its 20 quid with vodphone (example) and 80 on O2 get the vodphone coz i can unlock it for you mate!
