It's just Toyota's way to shock you into doing something, it's more than likely nothing to do with the VSC and TC - get the codes read asap

It's an old post but I'll give you the solution...change the brake light sensor.  U can find it above the brake pedal.

Counterclockwise to get out....clockwise to get in the new one.

Are you saying you'd get an error if you start/drive with the foot lightly on the brake pedal (i.e. closing the break light switch)?

Yeah. ABS system get signal from brake light switch. VSC get signal from ABS system.

When brake light switch doesn't work....ABS and VSC output DTC errors.

Putting on the MIL, TC and VSC is just a strategy Toyota have used for over 20 years, throwing parts at and see what sticks get expensive really quick, sometimes blind dumb luck works

But

You need to diagnose the issue correctly, A code is also a symptom and not the cause in many cases
