Hi everyone,

I'm a new member here and a very new owner of a Corolla LE CVT 2022 edition. I have been looking into the fuel consumption rate after each drive and it seems to be about 15L/100km. I think that is a bit too high. I was expecting 7 or 8L/100km but I'm not sure. Is it normal or is something wrong with the car and I should have it checked out? I live in Montreal, Canada so all my drives have been in the city.

Thanks for the help if you can provide it!

Wait until you have done around 800km then see what it’s like if it’s brand new give the engine time to bed in fuel consumption will be less on short journeys give it a run to get the traction Battery charged up ( I assume it is the hybrid).

Thanks @Rosgoe for the reply, I appreciate it. It is not a hybrid unfortunately. So, I guess I should just wait until I have more km on the car. Thanks again for the help.

Lol even non hybrid should be capable of 7-8ltr /100km and up to 10ltr/100 km in winter. It is a good idea to check tyre pressure on cold , early morning with good quality gauge and air compressor. Do that at home before you drive off. Once the car been driven or exposed to direct sunlight the pressures are off and easily wrongly adjusted.
