Fuel pump

i have 2017 avensis 1.6 diesel, would not start on Friday i got a guy to plug in diagnostic machine dault P1473 came up, eventually got it into dealers today and was told fuel pump was gone, the code for fuel pump fault is P1228, anyone have same problem?

dam a 2017 with a fule pump gone 😞 not good thats crazy would toyota fix it by chance for free

I have the same car 2016 model and had to change the in tank fuel pump/sender unit, the codes I had at the time were P1094, P1474 and P0087. Part number 7702005150 £642 from Toyota for part only and an easy enough fit for the DIYer
