Toggle type switch on just behind the steering wheel

Just acquired a 65 plate Aygo, and just behind the steering wheel there is a toggle type switch labelled on/off - and moves from side to side 

This feature seems to have been omitted in the handbook

What is it for ?

Thank you - but my handbook ends at page 142, so none the wiser

However, I'll turn it off so as to ensure it does not activate whilst I am driving  !
