Carina E - Oxygen Sensor

Thanks for the replies. I reset the OBD and there are no code faults generated using the on board diagnostic test (connecting E1 to TE1). However the engine management light still comes on after 30 seconds when I start up. Could this be because the oxygen sensor is not the lean burn model? According to SAP, with my 4AFE engine I should be able to use Terminated Oxygen Sensor(4 Wire - Zirconia) XLOS307 at £42.37, the Universal Oxygen Sensor(4 Wire - Zirconia) XLOS105 at £33.42 instead of the Terminated Oxygen Sensor(4 Wire - Lean Burn) XLOS321 at £302.12.

Could you please explain the difference to me and let me know if there is any problem likely to arrise if I drive having had the sensor changed if the light still remains on? Since the problem developed I have turned off the engine when the light comes on. Should I run the engine to bring the temperature of the engine up to normal running?

Thanks for all your help
