Yaris MK3 hybrid - Instrument cluster upgrade

I wonder if it would be possible to upgrade the MK3 1st restyling cluster to the 2nd restyling one. It seems that they have the same back connectors.

Oh yes it can be done but needs to be programmed

mine is fully working the water temp and digital speedo are a good upgrade

don't forget you need the steering wheel controls and to add 2 wires

Yeah, that is exactly what I was searching for. Congrats for the project.

Do you think I could do the mileage correction through OBD? I have a J2534 interface and maybe it can be done with a paid access to toyota-tech and techstream? 

About the steering controls ... mine has TSS and the LDA button at the right side:

 

So, will I lose this control if I replace with the new one?

There are a few different types of controls - you can do it over obd2, but not with techstream

standard menu controls 2 of the types

 

 

tbh not seen many pre 2nd facelifts mk3's with tss (2014-2017) - its a case of plug the new style dash in and see what works or what errors you get

Edit. IIRC instead of the button, the LDA is in the menu on the later cars
