Wow, over a year for a Land Cruiser!!

Interesting that the newest model (Aygo X) has the shortest lead time.

We're lucky as the latest Land Cruiser (the 300 - not for sale in Europe) has a four year waiting list in Japan.....

I dont get that.  In four years time the model could have completely changed from the car you first test drove and ordered.  You might not even still want it.

Toyota are probably prioritising production on the more profitable LHD markets. In some countries, this model is the ultimate status symbol and customers will pay above the asking price to secure one.

On another note, the discontinued 5.7 3UR-FE engine is silky smooth, barely audible at low speeds and a lovely V8 growl under hard acceleration. I did an afternoon's off-roading in one a few years ago.

Wow.  5.7.  How many gallons a mile does that do? 🤣

The larger Sequoia uses the same engine. It's a huge car, felt intimidated standing next to one and I'm 6ft tall.

I hadn't realized Toyota were in the monster truck business

I think I'd be scared sitting next to one of those at traffic lights...!  (At least I'd be able to get away from it pretty darn quick  )
